HABITAT PREPARES FOR THE HOLIDAY'S

The Holidays are particularly difficult for families in need. Not having shelter to enjoy family gatherings and to welcome that unexpected guest….sometimes referred to as SANTA is difficult for adults, but almost impossible for children to understand.

The Mall in Columbia is lending its support to Habitat of Howard County by hosting their Mall Holiday Giving Tree Program called “Santastic.” Habitat of Howard County will be one of their featured non-profit partners with Habitat’s own Holiday Giving Tree located next to the Mall’s Guest Services Desk on the lower level of the Columbia Mall, near Lord and Taylor’s.

People can purchase gift tags for $5-$100 to show their support for Habitat’s mission. Proceeds raised will go to assist building Habitat homes for Howard County families in need.

General Growth Properties and The Mall in Columbia has already committed a donation of $5,000 towards Habitat’s efforts related to this initiatve.

All Habitat For Humanity Of Howard County donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law and will be acknowledged with a letter you may use for those purposes. Gifts made on-line are safe, thanks to our secure-server capability and will be put to good use by Habitat. We take seriously our responsibility to contributors, to those counting on our help to be wise stewards of funds entrusted to us.

We raise all our funds locally and receive no funding from Habitat for Humanity International. We support the efforts of Habitat for Humanity International by tithing 10% of all donations, unless the donation is restricted to be used in Howard County.
