Habitat is always looking for volunteers to help on a construction site or within one of our standing teams.  

Habitat has several committees including:

- Development Team
- Faith Relations Team
- Family Selection Team
- Family Support Team
- Marketing and Public Relations Team
- Site Selection Team

Donate land or a house to rehabilitate

Habitat of Howard County is always looking for affordable land or homes to assist in their effort to offer affordable housing to families in need.

The lack of affordable housing solutions and/or land in Howard County is one of the single most significant hurdles that Howard Habitat faces.  

Donate in-kind services or materials

The donation of construction and other professional services as well as new building materials reduces the amount of funds needed to raise.

Donate Money

A typical Habitat house will cost over $150,000 for land and construction.  Please visit our website www.howardhabitat.org for details on our Home Sponsorship program for businesses, Churches, or other organizations  or for details on our individual giving program.

Habitat For Humanity Of Howard County is in great need of the items listed below. Here are several ways you can help:

• Directly donate an item— You can purchase an item(s) from the supplier of your choice for delivery to Habitat For Humanity Of Howard County, or if you have a good working condition used item, please drop by our offices during our working hours.
• Let us purchase an item for you  using one of these options:
  1. Telephone us at (410) 997-4949 with your credit card number, or
  2. Print our donation form, indicate the item you wish to be purchased, and mail with a check to our office.
  3. Make a donation online by visiting our secure online donations page and selecting "Wish List Item" in the Donation Purpose pull-down menu. Please list the specific item(s) you wish to donate in the Additional Notes box.

Office Needs

• 2 Computers [$200-$1,000]
  Microsoft compatible Pentium IV or higher, with monitor. due to the increase in our office staff we are looking for 2 new or refurbished computers to enhance our ability to develop online newsletters and maintain a regularly updated website.

Tools

• Milwaukee 1/2 In. Hole Hawg, Heavy-Duty [$299]
• Milwakee 18V Rechargeable Batteries [$80]
  We use drills and other tools onsite that require these batteries which wear out with extend use.

Equipment

• Pickup Truck [$3,000-$20,000]
  We are in desperate need of a late model pickup truck in good mechanical condition.
• Double Axle Enclosed Utility Trailer [$500-$5,000]
  Any brand utility trailer with rear and side opening doors. We use these for equipment storage on site, and transportation to work sites.
• 24 ft. Moving Truck with a lift gate or a ramp [$10,000- $20,000]
  We are seeking a Truck in good condition in preparation for starting a retail warehouse business, which we call a ReStore.

Services

• Architect
  We often need the expertise and advice from an architect when we need to make changes to our established home floorplans.
• Landscaper
  As we build new homes we look to provide landscaping whenever possible.
